About Weston Business Improvement District (BID)
The proposals to establish a Business Improvement District (BID) in Weston Town Centre were approved following the results of the ballot held in March 2012 and 2016. All eligible businesses in the BID area were sent voting papers and the majority of businesses that voted were in favour.
In accordance with the Business Improvement District Regulations (England and Wales) 2004, the BID has now been established as a not-for-profit independent company with a BID Steering Group drawn from a range of businesses in the BID area.

Over the five year course (2017-2022), the BID will invest over a million pounds in improving the business opportunities in the town centre. The core funding comes from the 400+ businesses in the BID area, along with voluntary contributions, sponsorship and matched funding for specific projects.
How you can get involved:
Weston Business Improvement District (BID) is a way for all Town Centre businesses to invest together in improvements and extra services in our area, making it a better place to visit and shop, and a better place to do business.
It’s a business-led proposal aimed at increasing footfall in the area, and increasing your profits.
BIDs already exist in over 100 towns across the UK. They are independent, efficient business-led organisations. They are tried and tested. They work.
Wide consultation was undertaken throughout 2016 on what the priorities for improvement should be. Hundreds of businesses had their say in face to face meetings, focus groups, through the website and in street meetings.
